Instructions

  1. Roast the bones in the oven until it takes brown color, I roast them in the air-fryer for only 20 minutes but I think if you like to get brown broth, you will need to roast it for a longer time.
  2. In the pressure pot add the bones, the vegetables, and the whole spices.
  3. Add one spoonful of salt.
  4. Cover it with water, and put it on high heat until it boils, then lower your heat to medium heat.
  5. The secret here to get the most benefits from the bones is a spoonful of apple cider vinegar. The acid here will help in the dissolution of the collagen in the bones and will dissolve in the broth.
  6.  You can cook it in the pressure pot for about 2-3 hours or you can cook it in the pot for about 6-8 hours.
  7.  Keep in your mind that the longer time of cooking, the more benefits we get from the bones in the soup.

Benefits of Bone Broth

It is a nutritious liquid made by simmering bones along with vegetables, herbs, and spices. The simmering process releases beneficial compounds such as collagen, gelatin, amino acids, and minerals, which can provide several health benefits. Some of the potential benefits of bone broth include:
  • Improving gut health: The collagen and gelatin in bone broth can help to heal and seal the gut lining, which can improve gut health and reduce the symptoms of conditions such as leaky gut syndrome.
  • Supporting joint health: Collagen, a major component of bone broth, is a key structural component of joints, tendons, and ligaments. Consuming collagen in bone broth may help to reduce joint pain and improve mobility.
  • Boosting the immune system: The amino acids and minerals in bone broth can help to boost the immune system and help to fight off infections and illnesses.
  • Improving skin, hair, and nail health: Collagen is also a key component of skin, hair, and nails. Consuming collagen in bone broth may help to improve the health and appearance of these tissues.
  • Weight loss: Bone broth is a low-calorie, high-nutrient food that can help to promote feelings of fullness and reduce overall calorie intake.
It should be noted that the benefits of bone broth have not been extensively studied and more research is needed to fully understand the effects of consuming bone broth on human health. Additionally, bone broth made from the bones of animals that are not grass-fed and organic may contain harmful toxins like heavy metals, pesticides, and antibiotics.

How often should you drink bone broth?

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to how often you should drink bone broth, as it depends on a variety of factors such as your overall health, dietary needs, and individual preferences.
